I am over 18As a Food Runner, you play a critical role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience by delivering food quickly, accurately, and with polished presentation. You will work closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Your role is vital in maintaining the flow of service and ensuring meals are delivered at peak quality and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficient Food Delivery: Transport dishes from kitchen pass to guests promptly and accurately, ensuring all orders are correct and presented to standard.
Table Support: Assist waitstaff by clearing and resetting tables, topping up water, and supporting guest needs during service.
Communication Bridge: Act as the link between the kitchen and FOH team to ensure smooth service, reporting any delays or special instructions.
Menu Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of all menu items, dietary notes, and modifiers to answer guest queries or relay dish components.
Presentation: Ensure plates are delivered clean, intact, and visually appealing; report any inconsistencies immediately.
Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain cleanliness in service areas, follow food safety handling protocols, and restock cutlery, napkins, condiments, etc., as needed.
Team Support: Be proactive in assisting all areas of service when not running food, including polishing glassware, folding napkins, or assisting with floor maintenance.
Time Management: Adapt quickly to service demands, shifting priorities based on ticket flow and kitchen timing.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
Prior experience in a similar role or hospitality environment preferred but not essential
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is a plus but not required
Availability for nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
